Program Outcomes and Objectives:

NASCA’s cricket program focuses on Education and Cricket Development in Remote Indigenous Communities throughout the Northern Territory in the Central Desert, the Tiwi Islands and East Arnhem Land.

Our cricket development activities specifically aim to:

  • Increase interest amongst Indigenous children in remote communities in the game of cricket and ‘cricket culture’
  • Develop basic cricket skills and knowledge and understanding of cricket
  • Provide access to facilities, professional athletes and equipment
  • Provide a positive and healthy engagement tool for schools and community activity officers
  • Identify youth with particular talent in cricket and assist with development pathways/network opportunities with other sports organisations
